Technical Sales

Vicon is the world leader in motion capture, developing high performance software and hardware products for the entertainment, engineering and medical industries. Vicon products have been used in most major feature films and many games and TV commercials. We have offices in Oxford, Denver and Los Angeles. 

 

Summary

Business to Business sales (B2B).  To identify, qualify and quantify business opportunities. In doing so, sell company products and services to new and existing customers through referrals, lead-generation, lead follow-up and inquiries about the company’s products.  This position is located in our Denver office, reporting to the VP of Sales.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Possess advanced selling techniques
  • Possess basic negotiating skills
  • Independently competent to set-up and demonstrate system effectively
  • Requires minimal Department Management assistance to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics for assigned territory
  • Responsible for implementation of the Sales Plan for the assigned territory
  • Proven ability and proficiency to close sales
  • Has comprehensive competition and product knowledge
  • Responsible for all sales and account activity in assigned territory
  • Learning and developing territorial application environment
  • Serves as primary contact between the customer and the company
  • Solicit and secure orders from existing and potential customers via various direct or indirect methods
  • Provides customer service and support related to quotes and orders
  • Attends regional trade shows, association meetings, seminars, demonstrations as may be required
  • Accurately and consistently submit contact and sales information into the Sales Data Base

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree required. Technical, Engineering, or Physical Sciences degree preferred
  • Three to Five years experience in B2B technical, software or systems sales
  • Have established basic sales and  business development skills
  • Physically handle sales samples and product cases with materials up to seventy pounds

  • Superior communication skills, clarity and accuracy both orally and written
  • Excellent telephone manner to develop and enhance relationships with peers, prospects and customers
  • Ability to develop mature and professional business relationships
  • Exhibits exceptional presentation skills
  • Demonstrates a professional, ethical and moral code of conduct representative of the Company’s standards and principles of Professional Excellence

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel 25% domestic (possible international travel)
